If I put someone on my lease, will my parents be notified?
OK My current situation is this: I am living in an apartment being paid for via school loans. It isn’t a dorm, it’s an apartment and we got the rent figured in with my financial aid package. The loans are in my name, but my parents aren’t paying anything on them so far as I know. The lease, however, is in my name, with the school as my co-signer. If I have someone move in and I put them on the lease, will the school or the apartment be required to notify my parents? And please don’t answer this if you don’t know what you’re talking about. Best way to give condolences to Bangladeshi friend(s) who lost husband/dad (live in UK)?
Well i have known this family for awhile say 2yrs or more and their dad/husband was ill but always hoped to he would get better, he was always in hospital, anyway had not seen then for awhile say 6months and i recently ran into the eldest daughter who later told me their mum had been trying to contact me and let me know that their dad had passed away…very sad
As far as i know their mum has finished that time when she has to stay in the house and not go out now whilst for now i cannot physically go to them to give my condolences…..
Am not very familiar with cultural stuff ie…we have different religions, from different countries/ continents and therefore different cultures but we are friends.

Will be grateful for some good ideas on this…..

Physically being there with them at this difficult time would be the best thing to do I think even if it means a personal sacrifice of convenience.

Now, about your question. This relationship is toxic to both of you. In my opinon, the best thing you can possibly do, for both of you, is to dump this girl VERY quickly. From what I understand here, she seems to be the type to not let go – if that is correct, then it is important that you be firm with her on the breakup. Tell her it is OVER. O.V.E.R. After that, you must understand that she is no longer your responsibility. Break off contact with her. Don’t answer her calls or her texts – change your number if you have to, delete her from Myspace or whatever else, block her e-mails….you get the idea. Point being don’t let her suck you back into this vicious cycle. She does indeed sound very selfish, and you sound much too nice. So what if she thinks you’re a jerk? How is that going to harm you, unless you want to date her friends later?

No, it is not wrong for you to leave the relationship if it’s not working. The key is not to let her make you feel like it’s wrong. Yes, she’s going to throw a hissy fit — you just have to ignore it. Walk away. Hang up. Leave! Let her drama be HER problem – not yours.

Things aren’t always what they seem. To the world, she may seem like a great person….But you know differently, don’t you? My first gf, I liked her a lot and I have no idea why. Before we even started dating, we were already fighting. Guess what, didn’t turn out so well lol. But yes, my current gf, we never fought as friends. Even while we’re dating, we never stay mad at each other for more than a day. Much better I must say.

That girl is not right for you. You can find someone better, its just that a lot of people don’t seem to like the process of looking and would rather settle down for the best so far because its confortable and not lonely. Well, a little bit of loneliness in the long run will grant you much more happiness in the future. So leave her and get on with your life.

What do you think about re-introducing wolves into American states?
My parents own property in Eastern Washington (Twisp River Valley) and recently there has been a lot of buzz about this pack of grey wolves that has taken up residence a few miles SW of Twisp (Lookout Ridge/Libbey Creek for those familiar with the area). They first noticed wolves appearing in the valley in the 90’s and now there is a decent size pack that is roaming the area and beginning to interfere with the range cattle operations.

The National Forest allows ranchers to graze their range cattle on selected Forest Service lands but one of those range areas, Libbey Creek, was recently closed to the ranchers because of wolf dens in the area. There have already been reports of wolves attacking and killing range cattle and already been investigations by the FBI regarding a couple of dead wolves discovered, presumable killed by ranchers.

The fear here is that since wolves are Federally protected animals in America they will be able to kill whatever they want (range cattle, llama, alpaca, horses, dogs, elk, deer) and they themselves will not have to worry about predators as man is basically the only thing that has historically hunted wolves in the past. The wolf population is already growing exponentially in this area and the effects on the mule deer populations are very evident. Mule deer populations are down over the last few years in the Twisp River Valley, as is the annual deer harvest during hunting season. The deer that have been taken by hunters in recent years on average are older and larger than the previous years with the theory that the younger, smaller deer are being preyed upon by this growing wolf pack.

So, we have here a dilemma that is just going to get bigger and bigger in scale that has 2 different groups of people in opposition. The first group are the people living in the area that either own range animals, hunt or depend on the hunting season for income (hotels, bars, restaurants, etc) and then the second group of people, animal rights activists, that support the wolves being in the area (of course, none of those people live there…) and oppose any re-location or killing of the animals, even if on private property and endangering livestock or people.

Personally, I do think it would be very cool to sit out at night at my parents place and hear wolves howling but on the other hand, I hunt, know many hunters and ranch owners and I can see what is going to happen if they are left un-checked. It is like a buffet for them now, all you can eat and no consequence.

Prior to the new laws we have today wolves were hunted for their hides and also to prevent the death of livestock but without ANY regulations it didn’t take long for the wolf population to be descimated (less than 10 wolved assumed alive after 1930). No one missed them at the time because their animals were safe and the deer and elk were plentiful. Their ice boxes and cellars were full.

So back to the original question. Do we support the efforts to re-introduce the wolf to Washington, disregarding our livestock industry, jeopordizing our safety and the populations of other game animals? Is the wolf more important than the people who will lose their businesses or jobs?

I personally love nature and the outdoors and as I said before, think that it would be great if there were wolves in that area but I think that it won’t work this way, just re-introducing an agressive predator into an environment that hasn’t seen it in over 60 years. There have to be regulations, safety measures and the understanding that if a wolf or pack becomes a problem by preying on livestock that the may have to be killed or removed.

What is ironic is that these same groups (animal rights activists) that are supporting the wolf pack are the same ones that oppose hunting, blaming recerational hunters for the decline in deer and elk populations. If allowed to grow, this pack and others will kill 10 times the number of deer and elk that hunters harvest every year and 90% of those will be very young or female, even further reducing the population in the years to come. But they don’t understand or care about that I guess. Wolves are cute and fuzzy.

Firstly wolf populations rise and fall with the food supply so a high level of deer means large litters of wolf puppies and a decrease in deer means less pups the fallowing year. baaaack then in the 1930"s people wipes and dessimated the buffalo and wolf packs and many other large natural prediters that roamed the americas.

Almost all wolves evade, ignore, and runnawy from humans unless they are sick , injured or pups are in danger which is why that area with the dens was off limits as to not aggrivate the local wolf pack until they move somewhere else next spring.

the most successful reintroduction of wolves to a area was in yellowstone national park, where the rivers where eroding and young trees where dieing from the local deer/elk population that was contantly grazing on the shrubs on the rivers killing the bushes and eating the young trees stunting there growth, there was huge controversy over wheter to reintroduce a wolf pack in the national park people did’nt want this due to they’re fear of wolves as being aggressive. After the wolf pack was istablished the park administraters and the rangers noticed suddenly that the rivers had brush around them trees started to pop up everywhere. It was later found that the wolves where moving the large herds of deer/elk and preventing them from concuming that areas vegitation, which gave the plants time to grow back…

wolves have been on this contenent longer then we have and we’re living in their back yard … just keep your distance and they won’t bother you as long as you take appropriate precausions to secure yourr animals protection like fences …
